Bishop J. Nathan Paige

Bishop J. Nathan Paige, born to the Late Joe Nathan Paige, Sr. and Lizzie M. Paige on July 28, 1969, the youngest of five children. Bishop Paige’s musical genius was displayed at age of nine. From that time to the present, the musical ministry God entrusted to his care has impacted the lives of several generations of people.  An exemplary lyricist and composer, Paige’s ministry has reached and touched the souls of many. 

Bishop Paige acknowledged the call to the ministry and delivered his first sermon in October 1994 at Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was licensed to preach the gospel. In 1995, Paige was ordained to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Effective May 9, 1999, Pastor Paige became the pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Leslie, Georgia and on September 25, 2005 Pastor Paige organized Victorious Life Church of Albany, GA where he serves as Senior Pastor. Wherever Bishop Paige ministers the word of God there are testimonies of healing, miracles, and lives being changed through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Equally Bishop Paige is a powerful man of God, gifted musician as well as an anointed singer. He has traveled extensively preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and doing music seminars. He is the CEO/founder and director of Albany’s recording group “True Praise Ensemble” who released their sophomore CD entitled “Aint Nobody Like Him” in 2003. Paige was the musical director for 3 major plays at Albany State University; Crowns, A Piece of Broadway, and Black Nativity.

Bishop Paige received his elementary and high school education from the Dougherty County School System. After graduation from Westover High School, he enrolled in Darton College (formerly Albany Jr. College) in the Music Education Program. Also he attended Bethany Theological Seminary (Albany Extension), Albany State University, Faith Christian University, Orlando, FL and he is recently graduated from Grand Canyon University (Phoenix, AZ) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Studies.

He was employed with Albany State University in the Division of Student Affairs from 1996 to February 2003. Seeing that the Lord had better plans for his life, Paige left a fulfilling job at ASU to transition into full-time ministry. On April 5, 2008, Paige was consecrated to the Episcopal office of Bishop in the Lord’s Church by Chief Consecrator, The Most Reverend Brian K. Hodges. He was recently appointed as the Assistant Presiding Prelate for Gathering of Champions Church International Fellowship of Churches.  In May 2008, Bishop Paige graduated from Darton College being certified in Church Music. Also he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, FL.

He is a member of the African American College of Bishop where Bishop J. Delano Ellis is the presiding prelate. Also, he holds membership with the national NAACP. Bishop recently founded Hands of Hope Community Organization, Inc. where he has a mission of doing evangelism and outreach within the marketplace and the nation. Bishop Paige is married to the former Octavia Michele Slaughter, and they have one son, Shevis who is a senior at Macon State University.
